The Platteville School District announces that Superintendent Jim Boebel will be retiring after eight years of dedicated service to our schools, students, and community. Mr. Boebel officially submitted his retirement request to Board President Dr. McCabe and members of the Board of Education.
By providing notice well in advance, Mr. Boebel is giving our Board of Education the time needed to prepare, launch a comprehensive candidate search, and select our next superintendent. He will remain in his role through July 2027 to ensure a smooth transition of leadership for our district.
"I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to serve our students and the love and support my family has been given in our time at Platteville," Mr. Boebel shared in his letter to the Board.
We are deeply grateful for Mr. Boebel’s steady leadership, heart, and commitment to our schools over the past eight years. Our district will keep parents, staff, and community members updated as the Board outlines the search process for our next superintendent in the coming weeks.
