The Platteville School District is proud to be represented on the Platteville Holiday Project Committee. Once again this year, we are partnering with generous local businesses, community organizations, and individuals to provide confidential holiday assistance to Platteville School District families who may be experiencing financial challenges.
In order for giving to be meaningful, there must be someone willing to receive. We know that families may experience times when a little extra support can make a meaningful difference. If your family could benefit from assistance this holiday season, we encourage you to complete the Confidential Holiday Project Referral Form. Please know that all information provided will be treated with care and confidentiality.
Holiday Project Adoption Program
Your family may choose to apply to be adopted by a local business, community organization, or individual. Because the program depends entirely on available community resources, submitting a referral does not guarantee that your family will be adopted. Families will be matched on a first-come, first-served basis for as long as resources are available.
If your family is adopted, you will be notified by Friday, October 23, 2026. You will then receive a family wish list form to complete so that your adopting individual or organization can select meaningful gifts for your family.
Please Keep in Mind
Families adopted through the Platteville Holiday Project cannot also be adopted through another holiday assistance program or resource, such as Grant County Social Services, Christmas for Kids, Shop with a Cop, or similar programs.
The Platteville Holiday Project coordinates with other holiday assistance programs throughout our county to prevent duplication of services. This allows our community’s generosity to reach as many families as possible during the holiday season.
When requests exceed available resources, the committee may consider current level of need, previous participation in the program, and availability of community resources when determining assistance.

We understand that asking for assistance is not always easy. The Platteville Holiday Project exists because our community cares about its families and wants to help. If assistance would make the holiday season a little easier for your family this year, we encourage you to apply.
It is a privilege for our schools and community partners to come together each year to support Platteville families and help make the holiday season special for everyone.
