Yesterday, May 11, 2026, we gathered to celebrate the incredible achievements of the Platteville High School Class of 2026. It was an evening of gratitude, community, and life-changing opportunities as we honored our graduates with the annual Scholarship Awards.
By the Numbers: Impact of the PHS Scholarship Advisory Board
This year marks the 17th anniversary of the PHS Scholarship Advisory Board’s volunteer efforts. The growth of this program is nothing short of inspiring:
2009: 5 students received a total of $1,000.
2026: 81 students received awards totaling $188,600!
Total Legacy: To date, 1,203 students have been supported with a staggering $2,173,040 in local scholarships.
2026 Award Highlights
The generosity of our community manifested through several key funding pillars:
William J. Broske Scholarships: A monumental $40,000 awarded to students attending UW-Platteville.
Community Endowments (CFSW): $80,200 in long-term support.
Historic Trusts: $38,000 in distributions.
Local Businesses & Donors: $70,400 from our neighbors, memorials, and special initiatives.
Platteville Community Scholarships: $57,000 from local non-profits and families.
Higher-Ed Partners: $38,150 from UW-Platteville and $3,000 from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.
