Hillmen Jazz Night Tues. Feb. 10, 2026 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Why all the changes to Jazz Night?
A: Our new state-of-the-art sound system is only available to use when we have musicians onstage in the auditorium. Being onstage also means less equipment to move to the commons.
Q: Do we still need to purchase tickets for this event?
A: This event is now donation-only. This means the Platteville Music Boosters will accept cash/check donations at the door, or credit card donations online at https://www.plattevillemusicboosters.org/
Q: What are you fundraising for?
A: This annual event allows us to purchase the special equipment and music needed for our co-curricular ensembles. One jazz band or pop choir piece of music averages $70-$100 each. Past purchases have included a jazz drum set, electric violin/viola/cello/bass, a cajón, and a portable sound system and mics for community outreach. Future purchases may include print music stipends for each co-curricular group, a new touring keyboard, a new bass amp, and more.
Q: Are there still food and beverages available to guests and performers?
A: All food and beverage will be ordered by the Boosters (family donations not needed this year). Each guest will be entitled to one dessert and beverage including water, coffee, or lemonade. Performers will receive a ticket to redeem for their treat AFTER their performance. Since no food or beverage is allowed in the auditorium, refreshments will be served in the lobby.
Q: Do I have to stay for the whole event?
A: This year we’ve developed a performance timeline to help families know when their student performs. You may come and go as you please, but should enter and exit through the auditorium lobby from Broadway Street.
