The unofficial results of the operating referendum proposed by the Platteville School District did not see support from its voters during the April 2 vote with --% (#) voting no. Moving forward, the school district will continue to evaluate budgetary needs for the 2024-25 school year.

 

“Our district will remain committed to providing the best possible education with the resources we have,” said Superintendent, Jim Boebel. “We want to thank everyone who participated in the vote. Although this outcome does pose a challenge for our district, we will continue to work diligently to address the needs of our students and maintain the high standard of education that they deserve.”

 

Our community members also voted on the four elected seats on the Platteville Board of Education. Serving the three-year elected positions will be --, --, and – with their terms expiring in the spring of 2027. (Name) has received the least amount of votes and will serve the one-year term.
