Platteville High School is designed to meet the needs of all students. While PHS maintains an excellent college preparatory curriculum, we also provide strong technical and work experience programs which prepare all students for whatever path they choose to pursue following their high school experience. PHS students score well on college entrance exams, and a high percentage of graduates continue their education at post-secondary institutions. Platteville High School is considered an innovator in the use of digital technology and graduates are well prepared to succeed in a technological society. A wealth of extra-curricular activities provides students many opportunities to explore their unique interests and talents in artistic, athletic, academic, vocational, and leadership pursuits. In addition to academic classrooms, the school houses specialized facilities for art, music, physical education, vocational education, alternative education, and guidance. Two gymnasiums, a weight room, and an auditorium are available for a variety of school and community uses. A well-equipped Library Media Center, which also supports our one-to-one Chromebook program, is available to all students before, after, and throughout the school day, and the district's information technology office is located at this site and supports technology users throughout the district. A full range of student activities provides parents with many opportunities to share in their children's school experience. In addition, parents are encouraged to serve on school and program advisory committees and to become active participants in the high school experience.
