Hillmen Activities

Platteville High School's student activities program has been organized in an attempt to offer activities that appeal to the varied interests of the student.

The purpose of the student activities offered in Platteville Public Schools is to provide students with opportunities to grow individually and experience a wide variety of human interactions.  Student activities enable students to grow in their self-awareness and confidence. They also enhance students in developing talents, expertise, personal interests, and social skills. (From "Statement of Purpose", Platteville S.E.C. Committee Report. Fall 1988)

Each incoming freshman or transfer student is encouraged to become an active member of at least one club or activity in which he or she has a genuine interest.  Questions you may have about these activities should be directed to the individual advisors.

The following student activities require a $20.00 fee (unless waived):  Fall Play, Musical, Forensics, Open Weight Training, Model UN, Literary Magazine, International Students Club, National Honor Society, FFA, and FCCLA/HERO.  Questions about these participation fees, the fee refund policy, and other aspects about student activities should be directed to the Activities Director, or the office of the HIgh School.

Inappropriate behavior, smoking, drinking, and the use of illicit drugs are prohibited.  Academic requirements of the Activities Code must be met.
